The "First Downs" High School fundraiser is a joint fundraising effort between high school football teams and the Down Syndrome Guild. This fundraiser is designed to create awareness and provide additional resources to benefit individuals with Down syndrome while also raising money for the football teams.

This fundraiser is based on the entire football team soliciting pledges or flat donations. Each football player will secure pledges from family, friends, students, faculty and local businesses. Players can collect flat donations or receive pledges based on the total number of "First Downs" earned throughout the football season.

One-half of the total proceeds raised will go to DSG, while the other half will stay with the high school football team to pay for any expenses they choose, including new uniforms, new equipment, summer camps or related supplies that are necessary to build and run a first class football program.

Thanks to the following schools for their participation this Fall 2017.

Blue Springs, Blue Springs South, Blue Valley Northwest, Kearney, Leavenworth, McPherson, Olathe Northwest, Shawnee Mission West, St. Pius X and Turner High School.
